Friendster a site which use to boast 50 million+ user is now a ghost town completely abandon. Researchers conducting the Friendster excavation say the site has been deserted since the year 2005 A.D.

Friendtser was one of the first and largest social networking sites on the web, but vanished after not being able to keep up with now Social Net giants like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. The site lacks technological advance.
